Surah Naziat (Those Who Tear Out)
79.1
surah 79 - verse 1

| Yusuf Ali | They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? |

| Maududi | even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” |

| Maududi | Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, |

| Yusuf Ali | "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: |

| Maududi | and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, |
| Pickthall | And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)? |
| Sahih | And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself |
| Yusuf Ali | "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- |

surah 79 - verse 19

| Arberry | and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' |
| Maududi | that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” |
| Pickthall | Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him). |
| Sahih | And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" |
| Yusuf Ali | "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" |

surah 79 - verse 20

| Maududi | Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; |
| Pickthall | And he showed him the tremendous token. |
