I highly recommend it if you want to have a good understanding of how the later verses in the Koran abrogate (or supersede and overrule) the earlier peaceful verses. The earlier peaceful verses were attributed to the period of time when Mohammed was weak and unable to assert himself. When he gained power and had an army of followers, that is when the later violent verses originated. The bridge-building organizations focus on the earlier, peaceful verses. The organizations like al-Qaeda, ISIS, etc. that use terror as a tactic to spread sharia around the world rely on the later verses. The Koran itself states that the later verses supersede the earlier verses, supporting the jihadi terrorists' position.
