surah 48 - verse 22

Arberry	If the unbelievers had fought you, they would have turned their backs, and then found neither protector nor helper;
Maududi	Had the unbelievers fought against you at that time, they would have turned their backs (in flight), and would have found none to protect or help them.
Pickthall	And if those who disbelieve join battle with you they will take to flight, and afterward they will find no protecting friend nor helper.
Sahih	And if those [Makkans] who disbelieve had fought you, they would have turned their backs [in flight]. Then they would not find a protector or a helper.
Yusuf Ali	If the Unbelievers should fight you, they would certainly turn their backs; then would they find neither protector nor helper.
